This day-long experiential workshop provides an in-depth exploration of the Promoting the Emergence of Advanced Knowledge (PEAK) Relational Training System, offering educational professionals a comprehensive understanding of how to assess and enhance language and cognitive skills using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Designed for teachers and administrators, this training will delve into the scientific foundations of the PEAK Curriculum and its evolution within the field of behavior analysis, equip attendees with practical implementation strategies, and ensure they can transfer these skills to others effectively.
Throughout the workshop, participants will engage in hands-on practice with the PEAK assessment tools, which are applicable to students of all ages. Attendees will learn to administer the assessments, interpret the results, and use these findings to identify target skills for development. The session will guide participants through the entire process, from evaluating assessment outcomes and determining treatment recommendations to developing and implementing a detailed treatment plan.
Special attention will be given to aligning assessment scores with Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals, ensuring that ABA interventions are tailored to meet each student's unique needs. The workshop will also address the practical aspects of implementation, including collaboration among service providers, adherence to Hawaiian regulations regarding ABA services, managing classroom time constraints, and optimizing staffing allocations.
By the end of this immersive training, attendees will also learn how to implement effective treatments using all four of the PEAK learning modules. They will also be equipped to train and support other educators in using the PEAK Curriculum, fostering a collaborative and effective approach to enhancing student outcomes.
